Fort Myers police investigating home invasion robbery
Police are investigating a home invasion robbery after two men posing as cable company employees forced their way into a Fort Myers home and struck the person who had answered the door with a handgun.
The incident occurred Monday at 4531 Ohio Avenue. The victim received minor injuries. The suspects stole several items from the residence and fled the scene prior to police receiving the call.
The robbers fled in an older model maroon Toyota. The first suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’9″ tall weighing 225 pounds. He was wearing a black shirt and black shorts. The second suspect is described as a black male approximately 5’6″ tall weighing 180 pounds. He was wearing a white shirt and black shorts.
