Decker-Mchale elected to Sanibel Public Library District board
Nicole Decker-Mchale will fill the sixth seat of the Sanibel Public Library District board.
Decker-Mchale received 51.93 percent of the vote to Linda Estep’s 48.07 percent.
The Sanibel Public Library District board members serve four-year terms. The seven board members oversee policies regarding library service, facilities, human resources, technology, community relations and finance.
“Board members are entrusted with the authority to establish policy for governance of the Sanibel Public Library. They are responsible for approving the annual Library budget and establishing broad policies under which the Library operates,” Margaret Mohundro, Sanibel Public Library executive director, said.
The seats are non-partisan.
