Sanibel musician to perform 10 charitable concerts to benefit FISH

Chris Coile, a Sanibel musician and entertainer. will dedicate this year’s charity donations will go to F.I.SH of Sanibel.

Coile will have 10 concerts this season playing and singing 50’s through 80’s rock and roll, country and classics at George and Wendys Seafood Grill. The first concert is Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

“We play and sing songs from the greatest entertainers of all times, such as: The Drifters; Mamas and Papas, Bobbie Darin; Jimmy Buffet; Elvis; Dion; Gordon Lightfoot; Glen Campbell; Neil Diamond; The Beatles; Smokey Robinson; Willie Nelson; Patsy Cline; The Eagles; Eric Clapton; Ronettes; Simon and Garfunkel; Fats Domino; John Denver; Creedence; The Coasters; Roy Orbison; Buddy Holly; Otis Reading, and many more,” Coile said in a release announcing the series states.

“There is no cover charge or any other type of fee. Donations are completely optional. I donate my CDs to anyone making a donation of $5 or more to F.I.S.H. I have three different CDs….’Looking Back’ is a collection of classic Rock and Roll tunes. ‘A Special Elvis Tribute’ are 24 songs from the greatest entertainer of the century. ‘Country Classics’ are my favorite country tunes of all times”.

Coile will be joined each concert by a well-known local singer Sandy Greco, who specializes in the great Big Band tunes and the No. 1 singles of the best female vocalists of our age. Other talented local singers, Cindy Cola and Dee Kelly will sometimes join in as well.

F.I.S.H is well know in the area for its Food Pantry that currently helps more than 800 local families. F.I.SH. also provides transportation, loaner of medical equipment, kids luncheon back page program, meals on wheels for seniors and over $200,000 of emergency help.

“With the economy the way it is, a lot of families need a helping hand. I am delighted to raise money for such a worthwhile cause, all for people living or working on Sanibel,” Coile said.

“It is a ton of fun each concert”, he added. “Our guests enjoy great music, sing along, dance and enjoy delicious food as well.

The concert dates for this season are always on Tuesdays, from 6 p.m. -7:30 p.m. They are Nov. 18, Dec. 2 and 16, Jan. 6 and 20, Feb. 3 and 17, March 3 and 31, and April 14.
