Middle Gulf water break repaired
A broken 12-inch water main on Middle Gulf Drive. CITY OF SANIBEL.
The Island Water Association completed the repair of a broken 12-inch water main on Middle Gulf Drive and the road was reopened as of Sunday morning.
Water service was also restored to the one impacted home. They are under a boil water advisory at this time due to the break. The road surface will be repaired on Monday when the asphalt is available.
Middle Gulf Drive was also reopened and the temporary detour has been lifted.
The area around the break will include signs for motorists to take extra caution until the permanent patch can be installed.
