National Weather Service: Severe thunderstorm warning

A large area of thunderstorms are developing in the Gulf of Mexico and are expected to expand across much of the Florida Peninsula today. The entire region has the potential for strong to severe storms, though the best chances of severe weather will be from Interstate 4 south.

Impacts:

Damaging wind gusts

Isolated tornadoes or water spouts

Small hail

Locally heavy rain
