Contractors began road shoulder repairs along the eastbound lanes of McGregor Boulevard on Sept. 11 approximately 500 feet east of the Sanibel Causeway toll plaza, an area frequently visited by sun worshipers, kayakers, wade fishermen and kite boarders. The project was supposed to take one week, but orange traffic cones remain in the area so motorists should continue to use caution.
