Community House gets fresh paint job
Prominent local painting and construction services company John Grey Painting has been a familiar fixture in Southwest Florida for many years. Recently they donated their services to spruce up interior of the Sanibel Community House, joining a long line of local companies that have given support since its founding in 1927.
A John Grey crew applied a fresh coat of paint to the auditorium and meeting rooms, getting them ready for the new season of events that will unfold. Assisting the effort, Forever Green Ace Hardware supplied paint for the project at a discounted rate.
“We’re glad to provide our services to the Community House,” Said John Grey, “because we know what an important function it provides here on the Island. It’s our way of helping the cause.”
“John Grey’s crew did a superb job, very professional, and the end result is just great.” said executive director Teresa Riska-Hall. “It’s remarkable how it makes our space brighter and more inviting. We appreciate their commitment.”?
The support contributed by Sanibel businesses and citizens has always been important to the operation of The Community House, which is run by the non-profit Sanibel Community Association. It is supported entirely by support from the public in the form of donations, membership dues and user fees, and it receives no taxpayer funding. As the Islands largest meeting space for civic and social events, the House is an important community resource.
