Movember to Remember
During the month of November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of mustaches on thousands of men’s faces across the globe. In Movember, guys grow their Mo Aussie slang for mustache to benefit prostate cancer research through the Prostate Cancer Foundation and support services for men battling cancer through the LIVESTRONG Foundation. For the first time, Sanibel’s bravest joined the mustache movement to do their part in raising awareness for men’s health. Throughout the month the Sanibel Fire and Rescue District groomed, trimmed and waxed their way into the history of fine mustachery for a good cause. The “Mo Bros” are: Joe Nygard, Rob Popkin, John Murray, Josh Koza, Tim Barrett, John Reitenbach, John Griffith, Don Frye and Fire Marshall Rick Tassoni. The “Mo Sistas,” women behind the mustaches, are Mary Hickey and Kathy Prosser.
