Holiday ornaments available exclusively at Bailey's General Store

Santa has arrived. Continuing the Bailey’s tradition of limited edition collector ornaments, the general store has unveiled its 2011 edition.

The 2011 ornament, the third in the series, depicts the “Bailey’s Santa Claus” climbing up the ladder to the roof of Bailey’s Store to reach his sleigh. All who visit Bailey’s around the holidays have witnessed this phenomenon first hand. Santa has visited Bailey’s to spread the spirit of the season to all residents and visitors in this manner for many years.

Francis P. Bailey Jr., our very own Santa, celebrated his 90th birthday in April. This year’s ornament was designed in honor of Francis and created as a keepsake for all to remember the spirit of Christmas.

This ornament, as well as the 2010 ornament of the original Bailey’s store on Matthews Wharf and the 2009 inaugural ornament that bears the hand-written initials of Sam and Francis Bailey, is available for purchase exclusively at Bailey’s General Store.

Each ornament is made of 24-karat gold and brass and comes in a royal blue presentation folder showing the Bailey’s logo on the front. The folder contains a certificate indicating the limited edition ornament number and giving a brief description of the particular significance of the design. The ornaments, certificates and folders are produced by The Charleston Mint of Brevard, N.C.
