CROW’s Giving Tree Festival

2 min read

CROW, the Clinic for the rehabilitation of Wildlife, is putting the final touches on its spectacular 5th “Giving Tree Festival” scheduled for Dec. 4 at the Sanctuary Golf and Country Club.

Sparkling and festive holiday trees, wreaths, and garlands will be featured at the clubhouse in a silent auction, raising important philanthropic support for CROW. Our sincerest thanks go out to The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company, the premier event sponsor.

“We are proud to again be the sponsor for this holiday event to benefit CROW,” said Sanibel Captiva Trust Company President Terry Igo. “CROW is part of the fabric of our community and we support their efforts to save our wildlife neighbors. By helping CROW, we also hope to help preserve the special qualities that make these islands such a unique place to live and work.”

CROW board member Daniel Moore-Thompson, chair of the event, has been busy organizing a talented group of designers for this tremendous evening. “The Festival will showcase some of the most amazing talent this island has to offer. It’s a unique way to support CROW and take home some creative artwork handmade by local artists and residents.”

This popular island event helps initiate the holiday season on the islands with Luminary on Friday and Saturday and The Giving Tree Festival on Sunday. The Giving Tree offers guests the opportunity to donate to crucial needs for the hospital including food for patients, intern and student programs, patient rescue and rehabilitation, and public education.

“The culinary delights of The Sanctuary chefs, delightful music by Johnny Ray, and seeing so many island friends make for the perfect evening while we support the mission of CROW” said John Schubert, CROW President.

Invitations to this year’s event will be in the mail soon. For more information, call Executive Director Steve Greenstein at 395-0031.
