SARR to host energy audit presentation Thursday
On Thursday, March 31 at 5.30 pm at the Sanibel Community House, located at 2173 Periwinkle Way, SARR (Sanibel Alliance for Renewable Resources), together with Noah Blanco, Director of Energy Conservation FL Green Team, will present the principles behind energy audits.
Many might wonder, but those who attend will learn exactly how to assess the energy efficiency of their home, condo, office or, in fact, of any building. Find out how to save potentially hundreds of dollars.
The presentation is free, will last about an hour and anyone can attend. As well as explaining energy audits in lay terms, Noah will give some examples of the significant savings that can be achieved with a few simple changes to the way in which we use energy in our homes. Many hundreds of dollars can be saved annually with very little effort.
SARR has recently addressed the City’s Planning Commission on the subject of green technologies and the implication for the City’s planning codes. SARR has been asked to examine the issues in depth. SARR is developing programs that will enable it to be a prime source of information on renewable resources for Sanibel residents, businesses and visitors.
SARR is a 501c 3 charitable organization. Its mission is “To educate in and encourage the use of renewable resources.” Its meetings are held monthly and in future will include topics such as Solar Thermal heating, Surface Water Management and Photovoltaic Power Generation.
