2 min read

The Sanibel-Captiva Optimist Club will conduct the Second Annual Sanibel Uncorked Winter Wine Festival on Thursday, Feb. 24 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Lily & Co. Jewelers (across Tarpon Bay Road from Bailey’s General Store). This charitable event is held annually to benefit childrens needs, including cancer care and educational scholarships.

Wine, music, cooking demonstrations and a silent auction will be part of the festivities. Representatives of fine wineries are bringing numerous wines to enjoy. Delectable hors d’oeuvres will be served with the auctions, music and wines. Each regular guest will receive a stunning, commemorative wine glass to use for the evening and as a keepsake.

The silent auction list of amazing gifts and certificates, arts and crafts even includes a personalized aircraft tour of the islands for four. Jewelry by Lily & Co. will be offered for sale, with many items discounted for the guests.

Musical accompaniment throughout the evening will be provided by island favorite Buckeye Ken, with additional music by Frans & Quebbie.

As a special treat, Chef Carl of Bailey’s General Store will demonstrate the preparation of a tasty dish with a sample for everyone. Don’t miss this special treat!

Tickets to attend the Sanibel Uncorked Winter Wine Festival are $30 per person (or $25 for designated drivers), and are sold at Bailey’s General Store, The Sanibel Cafe in Tahitian Gardens, Sanibel-Captiva Community Bank and Lily & Company. Admission includes self or valet parking, food and wine.

We are seeking items and/or services to be donated for a raffle and auction, as well as corporate or individual sponsors at $100 per table. Contributors to this event will be recognized in the local newspapers and at the event for their community support.
