Tarpon Bay Road Beach Access, parking lot to close
Due to a recent fire which damaged LCEC electric facilities at Tarpon Bay Road and West Gulf Drive, LCEC crews will replace the damaged electric facilities on Wednesday, April 15 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The fire was a result of salt corrosion on the lines which sparked a fire during a rain event. There will be no loss of power to homes or businesses during the repair work.
The Tarpon Bay Beach Access and the Tarpon Bay Road Beach parking lot will be closed for public safety at these locations. The beach access and parking lot will be reopened immediately following completion of the work.
