Rocks Civic Association to hold council candidates meeting
On Thursday, Feb. 26 from 1 to 3 p.m., council candidates will individually meet with The Rocks Civic Association to answer questions of specific interest to its over 300 members, who live along the West Gulf Drive corridor. This format has been valuable in the past in providing candidates the opportunity to share personal views and comments as well as answer a few questions that all the other candidates will answer as well in their timeframe.
Each candidate will have 20 minutes to speak and answer additional questions from the audience. Besides the members of The Sanibel Rocks Civic Association, the public is also invited as there will be ample room in the auditorium of the Sanibel Community Center, located at 2173 Periwinkle Way. The event is hosted by the Sanibel Community Center as a public service.
The Sanibel Rocks Civic Association members live along West Gulf Drive and the roads that feed into it, from the West Wind Inn to the end of West Gulf. It provides opportunities for the various individual neighborhoods in its area to come together on issues that are important to its constituents.
