Cypress Cove executive appointed to state council
Joel Anderson, vice president of Lee Healthcare Resources subsidiary Lee FP in South Fort Myers, has been appointed by Florida Governor Rick Scott to the Continuing Care Advisory Council (CCAC).
Anderson’s term began May 27 and runs through Sept. 30, 2016. As vice president of Lee FP, Anderson directs the fiscal oversight and strategic planning of all companies and operations of Cypress Cove at HealthPark Florida. Until April, Anderson additionally served as acting executive director of Cypress Cove, a premier 470-unit continuing care retirement community (CCRC).
“I am very pleased to be appointed by Governor Scott and look forward to the privilege of working with others on the council as it relates to Florida’s continuing care retirement communities and the residents they serve,” said Anderson.
He began his healthcare administrative career in 1995. And since then, he has successfully served several administrative roles within for-profit and non-profit companies.
Anderson, who joined Lee Healthcare Resources and its subsidiaries in 2010, holds a Business Administration degree in Health Care Administration and a Master of Arts degree in Management of Aging Services from the Erickson School of Aging at UMBC in Baltimore, Maryland. Also, he presently serves the aging services industry as a Board of Trustee with the state association, LeadingAge Florida.
The 43-year-old Anderson is a native of Lexington, Kentucky, who lives in South Fort Myers with his wife, Angela, and their son, Samuel.
