Daniel Scannell, a Certified Master Chef (CMC), is one of 66 in the country that successfully obtained the Certified Master Chefs examination and has joined the management team at The Sanctuary Golf Club. Administered by the American Culinary Federation and the Culinary Institute of America, the title Certified Master Chef (CMC) represents the most rigorous culinary testing a professional chef can obtain.

“Chef Daniel is coming from Oak Hill where the 2013 PGA Championship was held, hosting over 200,000 people attending the event. His education is impeccable, the awards and accolades numerous, and passion for food is contagious. In Ireland he won The Jean Conil Perpetual Trophy for International Chefs, has been inducted into The Epicurean World Master Chefs’ Society in London, and been a member of the Culinary Olympic Team USA 2000, 2004, and 2008, to name a few. We are very excited to have him on the team,” stated Ken Kouril, general manager of The Sanctuary Golf Club.

Chef Daniel has passionate views on food, “I enjoy providing unique approaches to the hospitality business through food. My desire is to use my craft to celebrate all of the senses during your dining experience. Beginning with the aroma, followed by a vivid presentation, with bold, rich, brilliant tastes, and ending with the sounds of satisfaction, fun, and pure enjoyment. I’m looking forward to using the best ingredients and treasures from Florida to create an extraordinary experience. My family and I are excited to be a part of Sanibel and I look forward to being a part of The Sanctuary Team Bon Apptit Eat Well.”
