Kay Casperson hosts cosmetic training, grand opening at Sundial
Beauty and lifestyle expert Kay Casperson hosted a grand opening celebration for her brand new Lifestyle Spa & Boutique at Sundial Beach Resort & Spa on May 7.
But before the grand opening, from 5-7 p.m., Casperson presented an all-day cosmetics session to her entire team of Lifestyle Consultants, some of whom drove down from Casperson’s Orlando spa for the special training event. Her special guest for the in-depth training session was Los Angeles-based beauty forecaster and cosmetics expert Dara Venekeo, who assisted Casperson in leading detailed discussions and demonstrations for Casperson’s newest cosmetics.
“I love to provide my team with opportunities to grow stronger, not only as individuals who are perfecting or enhancing their craft, but also as a group. The training event was a lot of fun and we all learned a lot — I can’t wait to plan our next one,” Casperson said, noting that last October she hosted a two-day training event on all of her skincare and cosmetics, as well as her brand new line of wellness items, at South Seas Island Resort.
Casperson’s most recent training event focused solely on some of her newest make-up items, including lipsticks, liners, glosses, mascaras, flash pens, BB Creams and signature cosmetics brushes.
“We offer a complimentary cosmetics application with all of our signature spa and salon services, so it’s extremely important that our Lifestyle Consultants are always up-to-date and ahead of the curve when it comes to understanding and applying my unique skincare cosmetics,” she said.
From full make-overs to simple product demonstrations, Casperson’s consultants learned about the nourishing ingredients and preventative anti-aging benefits of the new cosmetics, all of which are available in the Kay Casperson Lifestyle Spa & Boutique and online at kaycasperson.com.
Consultants took turns having their brows or lips made up, all while learning helpful application techniques, and Casperson sat for a full make-over by one of her consultants.
When the training event was over, many of Casperson’s local lifestyle consultants attended the Sundial spa’s grand opening celebration along with more than 75 island residents and visitors. Party guests toured the new salon and spacious private treatment rooms, sampled skincare and cosmetics, browsed Casperson’s inspirational apparel and accessories, and were treated to hors d’oeuvres and wine on the balcony as they enjoyed music by the talented Dan Confrey, beautiful weather, and a gorgeous view of the Gulf of Mexico.
“The grand opening for our new Lifestyle Spa & Boutique at Sundial was a wonderful success. I was happy to see so many new and familiar faces here for our special evening of Beauty Inside Out,” said Casperson, an island resident for more than twenty years. “Even though the event is over, we still want to invite all island residents and visitors to come out to the new spa to experience some of our fabulous spa and salon services. I also want to thank everyone who made this beautiful event possible and all those who came to help us celebrate. It was the perfect end to an already amazing day.”
The new Sanibel location joins Casperson’s collection of Lifestyle Spas & Boutiques, the first of which she opened on Captiva Island in 2009, followed by a second location in Downtown Disney Orlando in 2012. Casperson will open her fourth signature location in the Promenade at Bonita Bay in Bonita Springs later this summer.
