Herb Strauss Theater cuts ribbon on a new sign

It’s been a big year for Herb Strauss Theater, including producing of one of the biggest casts — the ensemble of Into the Woods — ever to tread the boards of the only professional theater on Sanibel and Captiva. A part of the BIG ARTS family of cultural, entertainment and, educational venues since 2010, the Herb Strauss Theater was honored with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Sanibel-Captiva Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, March 26 to celebrate the new theater sign located at 2200 Periwinkle Way.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, guests were invited to mix and mingle in the President’s Patio, the landscaped garden area located alongside the theater. The intimate reception space was an ideal venue for members of BIG ARTS Board of Directors and the Sanibel-Captiva Chamber of Commerce to listen to the cast of Romance/Romance perform several songs from the current musical production at the theater, while enjoying champagne and wine provided by Romance/Romance show sponsor, Congress Jewelers, and hot appetizers provided by Starfish Grille.
Another part of the new marketing initiatives launched during the 2013-2104 season, the partnership with Starfish Grille marked the first time a restaurant hosted all of the opening night pre-performance receptions at Herb Strauss Theater. Starfish Grille also offers a complimentary dessert at the restaurant when you present your Herb Strauss Theater ticket envelope from any performance of the 2013-2014 season.
The new sign is a bold symbol of the rebranding the Herb Strauss Theater, featuring colorful and professionally designed elements that will be changed for each theater production. A new theater logo was unveiled at the beginning of the season and was prominently displayed at the top of the sign. Along with bolder billing for the show titles and run dates, the new sign also features artwork for the current and upcoming shows as well as the opportunity to feature logos for individual and season sponsors.
The opportunity to promote the sponsors of Herb Strauss Theater along the heavily trafficked Periwinkle Way is a unique opportunity for businesses to increase their brand awareness while supporting the arts. The added value of a business logo inclusion on the new theater sign is just one of the many benefits available to Herb Strauss Theater sponsors and BIG ARTS is currently welcoming inquires for sponsorship of the 2014-2015 season.
