Smith joins San Cap Trust as executive VP

The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company announced today that Cherry W. Smith has joined the firm as executive vice president. In her new position, she is responsible for helping clients and prospects with investments and estate planning.
Prior to joining The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company, Smith was vice president of Business Development for Northern Trust Bank. Prior to Northern Trust, she spent 20 years working in the trust department of Bank of America and five of its predecessor banks.
Smith earned a B.A. degree at The College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minn. She also graduated with honors from the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University and is Series 7 licensed.
