BCMA gearing up for 2011 IrishFest

Are you ready to come and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Bailey’s Center? The Bailey’s Center Merchants’ Association is looking forward to seeing everyone at their Third Annual IrishFest.
The BCMA will host the event on Thursday, March 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Bailey’s Center. Sanibel residents and guests are invited to celebrate the Irish national holiday with Irish food and drink, music, dancing and more.
The merchants of the Bailey’s Center will open their doors to everyone on the island for a festival to include a BIG ARTS Chorus performance, Kellyn Celtic Arts Irish Dance Academy, music by The Hat Boys food and drink from Bailey’s General Store and George & Wendy’s Corner Grill, Irish cream lattes from Coffee Bar @ Bailey’s and much more.
And for the little ones, Miss Silvia will be there to provide her really cool face painting at no charge. This year’s official IrishFest 2011 t-shirts will also be for sale at the event. The cost of a t-shirt is $10.
“We can’t wait see everyone again this year,” said Ken Kasten, BCMA president. “It’ll be a fun event and the perfect way to spend the afternoon with your friends and family.”
The BCMA is also inviting everyone to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Southwest Florida by purchasing shamrocks through the Shamrocks against Dystrophy campaign. Gold shamrocks cost $5 and green shamrocks cost $1. You can purchase them at The Grog Shop, Bailey’s General Store, Bailey’s True Value Hardware, Island Cinema, Coffee Bar @ Baileys, George & Wendy’s Corner Grill, Sanibel Shell, Island Cleaners, Select Vacation Properties and Hillgate Communications.
