RE/MAX of the Islands announced on Monday that Deb Stone was their top selling associate in June.

Originally from Duluth, Minn., Stone vacationed on Sanibel, bought investment property here, and fulfilled her dream of becoming a full time Sanibel resident in 1985.

“Deb is a special person. She has extremely loyal clients and her clientele is expanding,” said Art Corace, broker and owner of RE/MAX of the Islands. “Deb really cares about her client’s needs and desires. You can tell she has an extensive background in bookkeeping and accounting. She is extremely thorough and dedicated to the details. We are very happy for Deb’s continued success.”

After moving to Sanibel, Stone performed bookkeeping/accounting services for Bailey’s General Store and was the co-owner/operator of Sanibel Travel from 1989 to 2002. She obtained her Florida real estate license in 1985.

In addition, Stone is an active member of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) and president of the Palm Lake Homeowner’s Association where she resides.

Also this week, RE/MAX of the Islands announced that island resident and Realtor Chuck Bergstrom was their top marketing associate in June.

“Chuck’s clients benefit from his hands-on experience as an island investor and resident,” added Corace. “Since the late 1970’s Chuck has invested in properties here and so he is well-versed in renovating homes and condos. He knows what things cost and how easy or difficult a project may be. Given the fact that much of our inventory requires updating, this kind of knowledge is invaluable.”

Originally from Chicago, Bergstrom’s prior professional career included a background in accounting and finance where he was self-employed in Chicago’s financial district. Chuck moved to the islands permanently and began his career here as a Realtor in 2000.
