Silver Luminary Celebration to be held Dec. 4
The Bailey’s Center Merchants’ Association (BCMA) will hold a holiday celebration, free to all Sanibel residents and guests during the 25th Annual Luminary Festival of the Islands on Friday, Dec. 4 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. This celebration will take place at the Bailey’s Center, located at the corner of Periwinkle Way and Tarpon Bay Road.
The theme of the BCMA holiday celebration will be “BCMA Presents: A Silver Luminary Celebration 25th Annual” in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Luminary Festival of the Islands. In keeping with the theme, guests are invited to wear their finest silver attire and accessories.
Live music will be performed throughout the event. Santa will be at the Bailey’s Center from 5:30 to 5:45 p.m. to take photos with children and families. The Bailey’s Center tree lighting will be performed by Sanibel dignitaries at 6:30 p.m. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served throughout the evening. Children can decorate their own Christmas ornaments and crafts at a kids’ activity table.
The BCMA was formed to develop and enhance the relationships among individual merchants and promote the Center as the prime retail resource for island customers, residents and visitors alike.
The 14 merchants who are members of the BCMA are Bailey’s General Store, Bailey’s True Value Hardware, Biddles Bucket, The Grog Shop, Nick’s Frozen Yogurt, Hillgate Communications, Island Cleaners, Island Cinema, Lily & Co., Sanibel Barber Shop and Sanibel Beauty Salon, Sanibel Shell Automotive, Select Vacation Properties and The Video Scene.
