County permits drop again in January
Builders in unincorporated Lee County pulled 13 permits for single-family houses in January, collectively valued at more than $7.7 million. That compares to 28 permits issued for the previous month and 45 issued in January 2008.
Also in January, permits were issued for four multi-family units – all duplexes – compared to four the previous month and 16 in January 2008.
Commercial permitting was valued at $1.2 million from nine permits in January, compared to $862,024 in the previous month and nearly $18 million in January 2008.
