The Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce will host a Community Fair & Retail Expo this Sunday, Jan. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sanibel Community House, located at 2173 Periwinkle Way.

“We expect this year’s Community Fair & Retail Expo to be even bigger

and better than last year,” said Bridgit Stone-Budd, Director of Marketing for the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce. “It’s a local celebration to help residents and business owners get to know each other.”

Along with event title sponsor Lily & Co., platinum sponsors are Breeze Newspapers and ‘Tween Waters Inn. Gold sponsors include Bailey’s General Store, Fireservice Disaster Kleenup and Stroemer & Company while silver sponsors include Sanibel Harbour Resort, Giggles and Bank of the Islands.

“This year, we’ve got great raffles. In addition to each vendor raffling off their own prizes, Lily & Co. is raffling three Louis Erard watches valued at over $10,000 and ‘Tween Waters Inn is raffling a free five-day, four-night stay in the Bayside Suite on Captiva,” added Stone-Budd. “The day will be filled with live music, including The Sanibel School Steel Drum Band, food, wine tasting and activities for the kids. The best part… it’s all free to the community.”

Participants in the 2009 Community Fair & Retail Expo also include Hillgate Communications, Rosier Insurance, John Grey Painting, Grog Shop, Island Cinema, Relay For Life, David Wright of San-Cap Bank, ABWA, Island Pharmacy, Island Nutrition, Billy’s Rentals, Ocean’s Reach Condominiums, The Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum, Sanibel Sweet Treats, In-Home Therapy, Sanibel Braids & Henna Tattoos, Cedar Chest, RLR (shoponsanibel.com), SWFL Attractions, Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce, SCA – Shell Crafters, Fashion Jewelry – Brenda Wentworth, Island Book Nook, Friday’s Child, Travelhost – Allen Myers, Oh, What A Night, Libby’s Flowers, Sanibel Wellness, Sanibel Community Center, Select Transportation, Tower Gallery, BIG Arts, Sandalfoot Condo Association, Surroundings by Melinda, Shiny Objects, Meardon Photography, The Bait Box and Tarpon Bay Explorers.
