Love Sanibel Back will continue on June 15-21 with Week 3, themed “Eat Local.” Residents and visitors are invited to celebrate the restaurants, cafes and sweet shops that help make the island such a special place to live and visit. This week’s focus encourages the community to dine at participating restaurants and support the hardworking people behind Sanibel’s food and hospitality scene during the quieter summer season. Participants are also encouraged to: share a photo on social media using #LoveSanibelBack, with randomly selected photos to receive a restaurant gift card; and leave a positive review on Google, Tripadvisor and/or Yelp to help spread the word. Running from now through August, Love Sanibel Back is built around the themes of “Buy Local — Spread Joy — Give Back.” The community-wide initiative is presented by Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in collaboration with community partners.
