Snook caught on Sanibel

Jack Collins, 13, of Highland Park, Illinois, caught a 39-inch snook on March 20 at Clam Bayou on Sanibel. He was fishing the mangrove shores with his 12-year-old brother, Sean, when he hooked into a big one. After a tough battle, Jack landed the fish. “It was a huge fight and I was so tired and sore after reeling it in,” he said. The snook was photographed and released. Bobby Collins reported that his sons were visiting their grandfather on Sanibel, and Clam Bayou is a favorite local spot for snook. “Great job to Jack and Sean, that’s a Sanibel story you’ll talk about for years!” he added.
