The Lee County Mosquito Control District (LCMCD) has treatment scheduled for the islands.

The district reported that Sanibel, except for the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, and Captiva — along with North Captiva, Boca Grande, Cabbage Key and Useppa Island — will be treated between sunset today, June 13, and 2 a.m. on June 14 by an Ultra Low Volume (ULV) rotor aircraft, weather permitting.

Residents experiencing a high number of mosquitoes at their home can submit a service request at https://lcmcd.com/ or call 239-694-2174. LCMCD crews regularly respond to requests for service and determine the need for mosquito treatments.
