Event features egg hunt, Easter bunny and more
The city of Sanibel’s 50th Anniversary Workgroup and Sanibel Recreation Center presented the 50th Anniversary Egg Hunt on April 19 on the Sanibel Ball Fields at the rec center on Sanibel. It featured an egg hunt for three different age/grade divisions, along with an Easter Bonnet and Hat Contest for the groups. There was a special appearance by the Easter Bunny, cornhole, face painting, treats, activities and crafts. The rec center thanked everyone who participated, attended, volunteered and helped to make it a success, plus the sponsors, businesses and nonprofits that provided the treats, activities and crafts. In addition to the core event supporters, Beach & Floor Decor sponsored a Grand Prize Bedroom Makeover for one family, while Titan Contracting supplied four golden eggs each filled with a prize.
