The Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF) reported that shorebird nesting season started on Feb. 15. From keeping pets leashed to maintaining one’s distance from birds, there are multiple ways the public can help ensure the success of vulnerable shorebird populations in Southwest Florida.
