UPDATE: Voter registration deadline for election nearing
UPDATE: Lee County Elections reported that the Vote-by-Mail Ballot drop-off has changed for the Sanibel election. Before Election Day, hand-delivered ballots may be dropped off at any branch office location on Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Election Day, the following Lee County Supervisor of Elections offices will accept them until 7 p.m.:
– Bonita Springs Branch Office, at 25987 S. Tamiami Trail, Suite 105, Bonita Springs
– Lee County Elections Center, at 13180 S. Cleveland Ave., Fort Myers
– Main Office, at 2480 Thompson St., 3rd Floor, Fort Myers

The deadline to register to vote or to change party affiliation for the city of Sanibel’s Regular Election, which is scheduled for March 4, is Feb. 3.
The deadline to request a Vote-by-Mail Ballot is Feb. 20 at 5 p.m. Requests can be made online at www.lee.vote, by mail, fax and email, or by calling 239-533-8683.
The deadline to return the ballot is March 4 — Election Day — before 7 p.m.
Those who plan to return their ballot in the mail should do so no later than Feb. 25.
Hand-delivered ballots may be dropped off at the following Lee County Supervisor of Elections offices on Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. or on Election Day from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.:

– Cape Coral Branch Office, at 1039 S.E. 9th Ave., Suite 100, Cape Coral
