County library system offering virtual programs
The Lee County Library System, which includes the Captiva Memorial Library, is offering the following free virtual programming:

– Feb. 4: Online Author Event with Sabrina Sholts from 2 to 3 p.m.
Join an enlightening presentation with Sabrina Sholts, biological anthropologist and curator of Biological Anthropology at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History, as she talks about how the very fact of being human increases our pandemic risks — and gives us the power to save ourselves. The event is part of the Online Author Events Series. Registration is required.
