Temporary lane closures, flagging on causeway
The Florida Department of Transportation reported that motorists should expect temporary lane closures and flagging along the Sanibel Causeway today, Dec. 5, and on Dec. 6 while crews pour concrete at bridge railing connections. The duration of the closures is expected to be short, and they will be timed to be on the side with the least amount of traffic — eastbound in the morning and westbound in the afternoon. Motorists are advised to use extra caution and expect delays.
