American Legion Post 123 will host a “Kick Off 2025” event on Jan. 1 from 1 to 6 p.m. at 4249 Sanibel-Captiva Road, Sanibel. It will feature a Bloody Mary bar, ham sliders and sides. Donations will be accepted. Post 123 is open on Mondays and Fridays from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. It serves burgers, hotdogs and other specials. There are TVs available for sports. The Post is open to the public. Membership applications are available.
