UPDATE: At 9:15 a.m. today, Oct. 7, the fire district reported that it is out of sand bags. It hopes to get more by early this afternoon; it will provide an update when it has more. The district thanked the community for its patience.

Today, Oct. 7, the Sanibel Fire and Rescue District reported that it has received a delivery of sand and sand bags. Free to the community, the supplies are located at 2401 Library Way, Sanibel. For questions or concerns, contact the district at 239-472-5525.
