Church to host screening, potluck
Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church will host a free screening of “A Case for Love” on Oct. 2 at 6 p.m. in the Parish Hall at 2304 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel. Produced by Grace-Based Films, the feature-length documentary was inspired by Episcopal Presiding Bishop Michael Curry’s message of love. It examines the question of whether or not love, specifically unselfish love, is the solution to the extreme societal and political divide facing the United States. An optional potluck dinner will take place at 5 p.m.; attendees are asked to bring a side dish, if possible. Following the movie, the church will lead a Bible study on “Loving Your Neighbor” on Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28 at 10 a.m. via Zoom; the Zoom link will be available at www.saintmichaels-sanibel.org. It will look at scripture and the call to love and care for one’s neighbors.
