F.I.S.H. distributes school supplies

F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva reported that its annual Back-to-School Supplies Distribution provided essential items to over 250 students with a Sanibel or Captiva connection, through residency or employment, for the 2024-25 school year. “Providing students with the right school supplies is more than just equipping them for class; it’s about giving them the confidence and peace of mind to focus on learning without worry,” Executive Director Maria Espinoza said. “The heartfelt notes we’ve received from families are a testament to the impact of this support.” F.I.S.H. thanked partners Bank of the Islands, Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Association of Realtors, Sanibel Captiva Lions Club and Sanibel Public Library, plus its volunteers who dedicated their time and resources. “Thank you to everyone who played a part in this important initiative,” she added. “Together, we are not just preparing students for school, but we are also investing in their future and the future of our community.”
