UPDATE: Royal Shell reported that it is working to reopen Jensen’s Twin Palm Resort and Marina in September or October, with a big push to make it in time for the Island Hopper Songwriter Fest. As it gets closer to a firm date, an announcement will be made. It thanked the public for its patience.

Jensen’s Twin Palm Resort and Marina on Captiva recently provided an update on its reopening.
“A little setback makes the comeback even better,” the resort shared. “Due to circumstances beyond our control, the reservation date has changed to Aug. 1.”
Royal Shell originally reported that reservations for stays would open in late June.
“We’ve been busy renovating our charming cottages and marina, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to experience the magic of Captiva,” it shared at the time. “Book your dream cottage today and start counting down the days to your island bliss.”
