The Sanibel Public Library reported that Adult Services Coordinator Beth Jarrell has a story included in “The Secret Lives of Booksellers and Librarians: True Stories of the Magic of Reading.” Co-written by James Patterson and Matt Eversmann, the book introduces readers to the smart and talented people who work and live among the bookshelves. Jarrell discussed her unique perspective on what it was like as a librarian in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. “I’m always bragging about how amazing our library is, hurricane or not. We are always thinking about new ways we can serve the community and are always adding things to reach even more Sanibel residents,” she said. “I’m now in my sixth year here, and it’s been a joy to see the library grow and evolve.” The book is available at the library.
