Garden club selling caladiums as fundraiser
The Shell Islands Garden Club is selling caladiums to support island and club horticultural activities. The plants are priced at a discounted three for $10. The club is offering four varieties: Candidum Jr., Florida Sweetheart, Miss Muffet and Mixed Pink Fancyleaf. Sun-growing varieties are also available. Complete instructions for planting and care are included with each order. Caladiums are known for their heart-shaped leaves that display color combinations of white, pink, red and green. They thrive in the local semi-tropical climate and grow well in full to partial shade. The perennials come back year after year, with no need to dig them up for winterization.
