Shell club to hold monthly meeting
The Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club will meet on March 10 at 2 p.m. at the Sanibel Recreation Center, at 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road, Sanibel. The guest speakers will be authors and professional naturalists Blair and Dawn Witherington. They will share illustrated stories from their new book, “Living Beaches of the Gulf Coast.” Blair Witherington is a research scientist with the Inwater Research Group, a marine conservation nonprofit, and Dawn Witherington is a graphic design artist and scientific illustrator whose art and designs are in natural history books and exhibits and on posters and greeting cards. After the presentation, they will sign copies of their books, which will be available for purchase.
