County board selects chair, vice chair for new year
On Nov. 7, the Lee County Board of County Commissioners selected District 5 Commissioner Mike Greenwell to serve as chairman for the coming year and District 1 Commissioner Kevin Ruane to serve as vice chairman.
The board selects a chairman and vice chairman annually in November from among the five commissioners. Greenwell previously served as vice chairman.
Greenwell was appointed to the board in 2022 by Gov. Ron DeSantis. Ruane was elected to the board in 2020.
