The “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge reported that the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge’s Wildlife on Wheels has hit the road for the 2023-24 school year. It ended its two-week stint with a bang on Oct. 13 at James Stephens Elementary in Tice. The mobile outreach classroom took part in the community’s annual Fall Fest for the second year in a row and was able to reach out to more than 150 family members. Last week, the WoW moved to nearby Tice Elementary, where it will remain through Oct. 27.
