Kingfisher to hold animal adoption event
Kingfisher Real Estate and Vacation Rentals will host the first annual Matchmaker Adoption Event on Feb. 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Community House, at 2173 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel. The fundraiser will benefit misplaced and abandoned animals from Hurricane Ian. There will be animals available for adoption, along with a silent auction and door prizes. Bailey’s General Store and Island Store sommelier Calli Johnson will serve up wines, with hors d’oeuvre created by Sweet Melissa’s Cafe. Tickets are $50 in advance or $65 at the door; those under age 18 are free.
