Vegetation trimming scheduled for Periwinkle Way
The vegetation along Periwinkle Way from the Lighthouse Beach Park entrance to Tarpon Bay Road on both sides of the road, including the shared use path, will be trimmed now through Sept. 29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
The city of Sanibel reported due to the nature of the work, one lane of Periwinkle may be intermittently closed to traffic for short periods of time. Be prepared to expect delays. Drivers and pedestrians are asked to proceed slowly and cautiously through the area when workers are present.
