On Aug. 31, the Sanibel Fire and Rescue District reported on training for its crews. Members of each shift conducted search and rescue evolutions in non-visible conditions, with a high emphasis on communications and air pack familiarization. Shift officers were able to train and utilize the Thermal Imaging Cameras (TIC) to monitor the crews throughout the training exercise.
