UPDATE: F.I.S.H. provides update on assistance

UPDATE: F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva reported that its food pantry is closed for today, Aug. 29. The public is welcome to free cases of water that have been left outside of its building. In addition, while no evacuations have been issued at this time, F.I.S.H. is aiding in evacuation for vulnerable populations. If you or someone you know needs assistance evacuating Sanibel and Captiva to a Lee County Safe Haven or other secure location, contact F.I.S.H. at 239-472-4775 or its 24-hour line at 239-472-0404. The F.I.S.H. Walk-In Center and food pantry is at 2430-B Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.

F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva is offering storm prep supplies in advance of Hurricane Idalia. The food pantry is open today, Aug. 29, from now until noon. There is bottled water, food and toiletries available. For more information, call 239-472-4775. For 24-hour assistance, call 239-472-0404. The F.I.S.H. Walk-In Center and food pantry is at 2430-B Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.
