The Sanibel-Captiva Kiwanis Club welcomed Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation Wildlife and Habitat Management Director Chris Lechowicz as its guest speaker at its May 9 meeting. He spoke of the resiliency and the struggles of the islands’ wildlife after Hurricane Ian. At its May 16 meeting, the club welcomed Sanibel City Manager Dana Souza as the guest speaker. He spoke about Sanibel’s recovery and shared the latest updates, from the beach re-nourishment budget and plans, to the cost of the hurricane debris removal.
