The Lee County Mosquito Control District has scheduled spray activity for Sanibel and Captiva.

The district reported that the islands, along with Upper Captiva, Boca Grande, Useppa and Cabbage, will be treated between sunset today, April 28, and 2 a.m. April 29 — weather permitting — by Ultra Low Volume rotor aircraft. Due to weather, it is a reschedule of the activity that was set for last night.

Residents experiencing a high number of mosquitoes at their home can submit a service request at https://lcmcd.com/ or call 239-694-2174. If the district receives complaints from a specific area or neighborhood, it will dispatch personnel to conduct a mosquito count and will fog or spray the area if warranted.
