The Lee County Supervisor of Elections mailed Vote-by-Mail ballots on Oct. 6 only to voters who had requested one for the Nov. 8 General Election. Voters are encouraged to request a ballot, especially those impacted by Hurricane Ian. If you requested a ballot and are in an area of Lee County that is not receiving mail or have an alternate address due to displacement, contact the office at 239-533-8683 to request a replacement ballot. Only one returned ballot per voter will be accepted.

The deadline to request a ballot is Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. Allow sufficient time for the post office to deliver the ballot. Ballots must be returned by Election Day — Nov. 8 — at 7 p.m.

Beginning Oct. 12, voters can request and pick up a Vote-by-Mail ballot in person at the Main Office and Lee County Elections Center South Fort Myers Branch.

Those who do not want to return their ballot to the Lee County Supervisor of Elections by mail may drop it off in person at any authorized Secure Ballot Intake Station beginning on Oct. 12. The stations will be available at the Main Office, Bonita Springs Branch and Lee County Elections Center South Fort Myers Branch. Once the Cape Coral Branch is operational, it will also offer a station for drop off.

The Lee County Elections Office continues to work closely with state and local officials to assess damages and losses to the Early Voting sites and Election Day polling locations. Once it determines the condition and availability of those places, it will post detailed lists on its website.
