Help available for older adults in need post-storm
The Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida, the state’s designated Aging and Disability Resource Center for Southwest Florida, is open with limited staff. Additionally, AAASWFL can be found at the Disaster Resource Center at Lakes Regional Public Library, at 15290 Bass Road, Fort Myers; hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. For assistance over the phone, call the Elder Helpline staff at 866-413-5337 (ELDER) on Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
